Tour of the Merzouga desert for 3 days by 4x4
Day 1 : Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Kelaa M’gouna - Dades
Departure at 8:00 Am passing through overwhelming valleys and flat red mountains. The landscape soon turns into the High Atlas Mountains as we cross the Ait Barka. Take photos at the Panorama of Tichka (2260 m altitude), from there we pass by Telouet, to reach the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Visit the Kasbah and stop for lunch in a local panoramic restaurant. From there, We continue towards Kelaa M’gouna (Kelaa M’Gouna is the gateway to the Valley of the Roses), we have a coffee and take a break. After that, we go to Dades (The 25 km long Dades Gorge Valley is one of the most interesting in southern Morocco. It is located between Boumalne and Imdiazen). we visit the Dades Gorge and overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Boumaln dades - Gorges toudgha - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, you will leave the Dades gorges for Erg Chebbi in the direction of the Sahara desert. A little earlier, we will arrive at the Tinghir Gorge for some good memories. Afterwards, we continue to Tinjdad for lunch. Discover Berber villages on the way and pass by Jorf and Erfoud to really experience the Saharan landscape. As soon as we arrive in Merzouga, you will ride a camel and cross the sand dunes on the way to a Berber camp. Discover the sand dunes and timeless desert landscape as you listen to the sound of the drums of the desert camp in the middle of the Sahara. Take photos of the incredible sunset from the top of a huge dune before heading to the camp to spend the night in a nomad tent.
Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Kelaa M’gouna - Marrakech
Breakfast in tents in Merzouga, then departure for Rissani. Rissani is a town in the province of Errachidia in eastern Morocco, located near Erfoud. It is the closest town of significant size to Erg Chebbi, the largest sandy desert in Morocco. Next, we will stop at Kelaa M’gouna for lunch and a visit to the rose cooperative. Continuation to Marrakech. Short stop for a break in Ait Berka which has an altitude of 784 meters. Arrival in Marrakech, dinner, and overnight.
