Tour of the Zagora desert for 4 days by 4x4
Day 1 : Marrakech - Telouet - Ait Ben Haddou
Departure at 8:00 Am passing through overwhelming valleys and flat red mountains. The landscape soon turns into the High Atlas Mountains as we cross the Ait Barka. Take photos at the Panoramic view of Tichka road(2260 m altitude), from there we pass by Telouet, to reach the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Visit the Kasbah and stop for lunch in a local panoramic restaurant. From there, make good memories at the studio of Ouarzazat. visit the kasbah of Taourirt and end the day at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Agdez - Zagora - M’Hamid
We will start from Ouarzazate towards M’hamid at 8:00 am. We will cross a Panoramic view of Aït Sawn (Eastern Anti-Atlas). We keep going to the panoramic of palm trees in the Draa valley in the region of Agdz.
Moving on to the kasbah of Tamnagolt, make a visit and then take a walk to rest and enjoy the cool atmosphere of the place. Then we continue to Zagora to take a break and have lunch at a good hotel or restaurant.
Afterward, we continue to M’hamid, we will pass by Tamgroute, we will visit it and see its potteries. Once the visit is over, we will continue to M’hamid and stay in a nice hotel.
Day 3: M’hamid - Sacred Oasis - Chigaga
Departure from M’hamid around 9.30 am in a 4*4 vehicle. The driving will take about 2 hours; after about an hour, we stop at the sacred oasis (Located fifty kilometres southwest of M’Hamid El Ghizlane and 90 kilometres from Zagora, the sacred oasis of Oum Lâalag appears like a mirage. It is located there, on the old Timbuktu road, a few kilometres from the Algerian border) to stretch your legs and take beautiful pictures. (Enjoy the panoramic views of the Draa valley and the nomads’ well).
We carry on walking to the big dunes. After lunch at the camp, we will go on a camel ride. Then we head to the biggest dunes to watch a beautiful sunset. As soon as the sun disappears, we return to our camp for an unforgettable evening, followed by a delicious dinner to end the night, then enjoy your evening with traditional music around the fire circle.
Day 4: Chigaga - Iriqi - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Marrakech
The next morning we will wake up at 8:00. As soon as the sun spreads its warm light, we have breakfast and then set off again with a brief stop at Lake Iriqi for photos. Then we will continue to Foum Zguid (an oasis at the foot of Jbel Bani). After a break, we will continue our journey to Taznakht to have lunch at the right place. Departure to Marrakech.
